History Day with Aidan Dockery
A fun and informative day was had by all on the day Aidan Dockery came to visit. Mr Dockery is an historian with the Heritage in Schools programme. We invited him to share his knowledge, many artefacts and stories with us on a history day.
Mr. Dockery showed the children items used in WW1 and WW2, as well as letters which were over 100 years old. He also owns a very impressive stamp collection. It was very interesting hearing the story of his uncle who fought and died in WW2.
It has sparked a natural interest in history in all the students and we would like to thank Mr. Dockery for his wonderful insights and inspiration.
