First and Second Class are taking action. They decided, as part of their SESE curriculum, to come up with ways for children their age to make a difference in the world. They came up with great ideas but their one agreed idea was to request four litter pickers from Roscommon County Council, with the hope of using them to gather rubbish to and from sporting activities and on WOW mornings.
They wrote a collaborative letter to Roscommon County Council and explained their project. Within a week, the council had sent the local Litter Warden to the school with the four litter pickers. The four students explained their project to the school and are looking forward to making a difference in Boyle.
