On Tuesday 17th September, the students of the Parochial School visited Boyle Abbey. They were provided with a wonderful guided tour of the Abbey by Joe. They had a very enjoyable time learning about life in the monastery, the surrounding environment, the building of the Abbey and how the function of the Abbey has changed over time from a monastery to castle, and was eventually restored by the OPW.

It was a very valuable and educational experience for all. Thank you to Joe, the staff of Boyle Abbey and the Office of Public Works for this excellent visit.
